Hi. My name is Lindsay. That's the name the SPCA gave me after they found me wandering the streets with an eye infection and after my pups were gone. I'm a very talkative mastiff. I've been with Neo Rescue for about 2 1/2 years. I think I am going to be 5 years old sometime this year. I was pretty upset about being in the kennel for so many months waiting for a home that I barked all the time and was a bit crazy around other dogs and noise. I missed my pups for a long time and every time I saw a puppy I would get all excited and drool on them!
My mom feels I am very good now. I go off leash on the trails and dikes where I live. I don't even chase bikes. I will admit sometimes a jogger is tempting. I've never been around cats and I really want to catch one. I don't know what I would do if I caught one, but mom doesn't want to find out. Sometimes I'm kind of pokey cause I like to stop and smell things. I'm still afraid of big noisy sticks and skateboards, but mom is working on that with me.
I have hot spots that come on and off and every night mom check me for hot spots and washes and treats the area. When they area bad I have to take pink pills that my mom calls Benadryl twice a day. Mom's tried about every kind of food and I am on one that seems to be usually ok. The neighbours aren't allowed to give me treats anymore. Mom thinks she is fooling me when she brings special treats in her pocket to give to my neighbour friends to give me. I don't care, tho. I love treats and I sit and talk a lot. Sometimes my shoulder is a bit stiff and mom has taken me to the vet for cartophen shots and they help a lot!
My mom checks my ears a lot and brushes my teeth every night. I want to be the boss in the house, so I got into an argument with the Neo boy who lives upstairs who really is the boss. So now I live downstairs with my mom's tenant and my little Visla friend, Lilla.
Sometimes they go away and I am lonesome. Mom does her best but I would really like to be special and spoiled!
I want to be someone's very special only dog. I might accept a smaller dog or a puppy.
